PROS OF ROMANTIC RELATIONSHIPS IN TEENAGERS AND COLLEGE KIDS
It’s time we write about this! How do we feel about our kids being in a relationship? Are you scared that it would affect their academic performance, mental and emotional stability? Let’s explore all that in this article
Let’s face the fact, love and relationships are some of the most sought after things in this world. Everyone wants to be love and to be loved. Right?
So it’s completely normal for teenagers and university students to engage romantically with someone they like. But we keep hearing stories about how a toxic relationship at young age can scar a person pretty bad. And there is some truth to that.
For a person to perform at full efficiency they must be into it mentally and emotionally and a break-up or a toxic relationship has the power to disrupt the balance and make that person feel horrible and totally inefficient in loads of things.
So, what is the right thing to do?
Let’s explore this in detail:
LET THEM LEARN THROUGH EXPERIENCE
One of the biggest flaws in this society is that everyone wants to protect their kid from reality. Life is harsh, hard, and unfair, and quite unforgiving. Right?
Life is also beautiful, magical, and extremely satisfying. Yet we only show them the good side of life.
While it’s true that a broken heart would really mess up the kid’s life for a while and can mess up their academic progress quite badly. But isn’t it the same always? No matter how old you are, a broken heart would in fact derail you completely.
So, let them learn. They will not derail and lose their life if things go bad. That’s when parents and friends step in. Let them know you are there and bring them back to peace if things were to go south.
If you stop them from dating you are teaching them one of the worst lessons any parents could teach a kid “ Be driven by fear”
Fear cannot dictate our life now. Can it? People driven by fear end up growing old and with loads of regrets. That is not what you want right?
Did you know that relationships that start off in high school or in teenage have more chances of lasting than any other relationship?
Trust me, In this world finding actual love is so freaking rare. Once we grow and mature, the whole perspective changes, and the idea of love gets tainted severely without us realizing it!
So yes, this is one of the biggest pros. If someone’s in a healthy relationship, it will definitely hinder their growth in academics and others combined!
So rather than being a bully parent, be supportive and actually be their friend so they would share their problems with you!
GOOD INFLUENCE
Did you know that people in happy relationships are less likely to get into drugs, alcohol, or smoking? This is another great thing in romantic relationships.
People are happy together and they do not need anything else to make them happy. They act as each other’s emotional and mental caregivers and the need for an external substance to keep them happy and excited is gone!
Thank you
Howdy! I just want to give an enormous thumbs up for the great info you’ve here on this post.
